Margaret Yu-Hui Chung

Margaret Yu-Hui Chung, 87, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully in her home in Lafayette, Colorado, on March 9, 2015. 

Born in 1927 in Meinung, Taiwan, Margaret came to the United States with her husband and seven daughters in 1972.  They settled in Boulder, Colorado and opened the Peking Restaurant at 1101 Pearl Street. 

Daughter of the late Yi Sheng and Ah Shin Chiu of Meinung, Taiwan, she is survived by her husband of 64 years, Richard Shan-Ho Chung, seven daughters, seven sons-in-law, and 14 grandchildren – Anne Li, husband James Li and children Andrew, Jonathan and Christine, of Pasadena, California; Judy Chung-Tuan, husband Anthony Tuan and daughter Karynna, of Boulder, Colorado; Mary Sego, husband Samuel Sego and daughter Samantha, of Alpharetta, Georgia; Betty Sullivan, husband John Sullivan and daughters Jeanette, Sarah and Sophie, of Los Gatos, California; Nancy Reck, husband Lance Reck and daughters Caitlin and Natalie, of Boulder, Colorado; Cathy Chung Mahowald, husband Thomas Mahowald and daughters Audrey and Catherine, of Palos Verdes Estates, California; Jenny Chung Savidge, husband David Savidge and daughters Olivia and Julia, of Boulder, Colorado – one brother and one sister-in-law, Mitsufumi and Kumiko Oka, one niece Emily and one nephew Hiro, of Kawasaki City, Japan. 


Burial services will be Monday morning 11:00 a.m., March 23, 2015 at Coal Creek Memorial Cemetery in Lafayette, Colorado.
