October 9th, 1936 — October 22nd, 2015

Billy Joe Christian passed away on October 22, 2015. He was 79 and resided in Erie for many years. His parents, John Thomas Christian and Stella Reaves Christian welcomed him into this world on October 9, 1936 in Sayre, Oklahoma.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and three sisters. He is survived by his Wife of nearly 60 years, Donna Christian; Daughters: Jannene (Steven) Higgins, and Janet (Michael) Peterson; Grandchildren: Renae Higgins, Teresa Higgins, Samantha Gardiner, Danielle Piernot, and Andrea Peterson; Great-Grandchildren: Isaiah Higgins, Elijah Higgins, James Higgins, Trinh Higgins, Devyn Piernot, Gavin Piernot, Camden Piernot, and Hollis Gardiner; and Brother M.F. “Dick” Christian of Grandview, Texas.

 

Services

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 26 in the chapel at Darrell Howe Mortuary in Lafayette. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m., and the funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m.

Interment will be the following Monday, November 2 at 2:00 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery in Longmont.

Aunt Donna, GOD BLESS you and your family. We will miss our visits with him when we come to see our grandkids. But we will be stopping to see you still. Give your girls hugs from us.
