Joseph Ferarese

February 3rd, 1930October 5th, 2015

Joseph Ferarese, lifelong resident of Louisville, CO passed away peacefully in his home from complications of Parkinsonism. He was born on February 3, 1930 to John and Susie Ferarese. He was married to Shirley, his wife of nearly 60 years, on January 13, 1952.

Joseph was a kind, loving, devoted and supportive father, husband and friend. He loved being around his family, who was his pride and joy. In his younger/healthier years he was an avid fly fisherman and also enjoyed golfing, bowling, assembling model airplanes and trains, and was always “tinkering” with things around the house, garage and yard. He and Mom also enjoyed trips to Europe and Hawaii.

Before beginning a 36 year long career at the Rocky Flats he was a member of the US Navy, where he served for 4 years on the USS Princeton alongside his dear friend and brother-in-law, Herm Fauson.

Joseph is survived by his sister, Virginia (Herm); five daughters: Angela, Mickie, (David) Janine, Pat (Chris), and Pam; six grandchildren: Melissa, Jessica, Aaron, Matthew, Stephanie, and Joseph; one great-granddaughter, Tayler; nieces, nephews, and friends. He will be greatly missed, but forever in our hearts.

No service is planned. Joseph and his family are in the care of Darrell Howe Mortuary, 1701 W South Boulder Road in Lafayette.

We are deeply sorry to learn of your loss. Mike Dionigi & Family.
