We're so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Bruce and I particularly remember Jim and Rosemary from the days when we all lived on Monarch Street in Louisville. The Shaffers invited us to their home on several occasions for informal gatherings. Both Jim and Rosemary were kind and generous people who always made us feel welcome. I remember Rosemary's dry sense of humor and Jim's laugh. We miss them but will cherish our memories of them always. Thank you, Jim and Rosemary, for your kindness.
Jim and Rosemary were special people. We were customers of theirs at the cleaners and when I moved to Mom and Dad's house on the curve at 287 and Baseline, I would see and talk to Jim on his daily walks. Often thought of him after I moved to Erie. I will always remember his kindness to me after my husband died. May God Bless all his family
Dear Shaffer Family, We are so sorry to hear that your father, Jim, passed away. I always remember how nice, positive, and welcoming he was when I was the one to pick up my family's dry cleaning at the Scientific Cleaners. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Sincerely, Marilyn Roads
