Russle L. Kersh

Russle Lee Kersh, 90, of Lafayette, passed away on July 26, 2019, just ten days shy of his 91st birthday, at his residence. He was born to Lloyd L. and Cora (Brown) Kersh on August 5, 1928 in Troup, Texas.

Russle proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a sergeant with the 82nd Airborne. He was also a member of the local chapter of the Denver’s Pipefitter’s Union, 208 and received his 70 years longevity pin on May 3, 2019.

He is preceded in death by his parents, named above, and his loving wife of 50 years, Betty Lou (Swafford) Kersh.

Russle leaves behind his sons, Ronald Lee (Noni) Kersh of Hockley, TX, Thomas Ray (Mary) Kersh of Parker, CO, and Rusty Kersh of Frederick, CO; daughter, Thena (Kersh) (Lowell) Beadles of Colorado Springs, CO; six grandchildren, and six great-children, as well as many friends and family who all love and will miss him dearly.

Services

A visitation will be held at Darrell Howe Mortuary from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, August 4, 2019.

Burial will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery on August 5, 2019 at 9:15 a.m.
