Donna Fay Haglin

Donna Fay Haglin, 87 of Boulder, passed away November 16, 2020 at Sunrise at Flatirons in Broomfield. Donna was born on Christmas Day in 1932 to James and Margorie (Buss) Unger in Plum Coulee, Manitoba, Canada. She spent the early part of her life in Canada and moved to Hibbing Minnesota where she became a naturalized U.S. citizen and graduated from Hibbing High School in 1950.

In July of 1952, Donna married Milton Haglin in Duluth, MN and shortly after, they moved to Boulder, CO. She earned her bachelors from CU Boulder in 1962 and later her master’s degree. Donna worked as an English Teacher for many years. She was a longtime member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Boulder and enjoyed making stained glass and traveling with her husband. She was a loving wife and mother and delighted in spending time with her grandchildren.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, James Unger, an infant son, Rory Haglin and her husband, Milton Haglin. She is survived by her sons; Craig (Cindy) Haglin of Temp, AZ , Dana (Judi) Haglin of Erie, CO and Brett (Sue) Haglin of Tempe, AZ, and two grandchildren; Zachary (Kendall) Haglin and Krystine Haglin.

This is a poem that Donna wrote. She was an avid reader, journal writer and loved to write poems and short stories.
